Baggage Door Installed

The photo on the left shows the stuff I received from Univair earlier this week. Included are new fuel lines; baggage door hinges, spacers, and spring; wing flap springs; and bushings for the control wheel shafts. Enough parts to keep me occupied awhile.

Today I installed the hinges for the baggage door. I need to work a little on the striker plate for the lock, but otherwise it works fine (the aft part of the door fits a little loose). This is post 200 for this blog for those keeping track!

Let's Fly

The inevitable process continues as I mark another birthday. I received the shirt in the picture from my parents. Pretty neat! I plan to wear it next week to the MAAG monthly meeting. I also received some money from various folks which will help pay for an order of parts on its way from Univair. Thanks to all!

In other news, I installed the surround structure for the baggage compartment door earlier this week. One of the items coming from Univair are new hinges for the baggage door. Maybe have that done later in the week.
